Goshen Democrat, April 19, 1871, mother of the late Dr. A. W. Dewey and Oscar Dewey, has returned to this county, to reside with her children.

Mrs Hannah Dewey, widow of the late Noah Dewey, died in Benton township Wednesday morning of last week. She had suffered for some weeks previously to her death but always appeared to be as cheerful as it was in her power to be and complained as little as little as was possible under such great affliction. She was in her 81st year of age and was quite well known to many of our citizens in this county having moved her from Covington, Ohio to this place in 1848. She was an every day Christian, always the same, kind neighbor and mother and always had a cheerful word for everyone who came in her presence. A few months before her decease, she wrote a most touching and affectionate farewell note to her surviving children and friends, giving them kind advice and assuring them of her willingness to enter upon a new life beyond. Her funeral sermon was preached at the Luthern Church in Benton...
