Mrs Olive Cowden, widow of Jeremiah Cowden, and over eighty years of age, who resides near Esq SMILEY's on Chautauqua Lake to the town of Ellery, was seen by one of the neghbors going through a piece of wood near Mr. Hatch's towards evening last Wednesday. In some way she became lost and wandered about the wood until the next morning. when she came in to Aunt Patty's, on the lake, and was taken care of. She was quite chilly and has not yet recovered from the exposure. About five years ago she got stuck in the snow drift and reclined there some time before she was sicovered and helped out. She is rather unfortunate and when she goes calling ought to have company.
