Suggested edit: "Shorty" came across a 250-pound bear at the creek and successfully killed it in 1906. He participated in the Moshannon Gunning Club in 1906 with Charles and James Fleming, "Possum" Fye, Barry Lucas, and AA Groe. He ran for Order of the Peace in 1907 for Snow Shoe East and West Precinct, but lost both. He ran for Inspector in West Snow Shoe Precinct in 1908 and lost.
