Alice was the ninth child of John McAdams, Jr. and his second wife Mary Frances Bankhead. Alice married Napoleon Bonaparte Wilson on Nov. 17, 1888. Dosia and Napoleon moved their family to Reeves County, Texas to homestead some land. They were there in 1910. Napoleon got sick and the family moved back to Walker County, Texas. Docia took over running the farm and Napoleon stayed home and cared for their youngest child Myra. Napoleon died in 1915 and Docia continued farming with the help of her children. They had nine children: Frankie, Georgia Elon, James Robin, Mattie, Napoleon McAdams, Tommie, Donald, Silas, and Myra. Docia would live with different children but they would put in the crops when it was time. She developed cancer and moved to Baytown, Texas to live with her children. She died in 1941. She was buried by her husband Napoleon in McAdams Family Cemetery. Her tombstone reads "Tho she is gone, her influence lives on".
