Edwin Johnson, former resident of this community passed away Monday, May 15, 1967 at his home in Perham, Minn. He was 67 years of age.

Edwin Sigfred Johnson was born November 6, 1899 in Maplewood Township. His parents were the late Bjore and Elive Johnson.

He was united in marriage to Gladys Glass on March 10, 1928. They lived and farmed in this community until 1943 when they moved to Richville where they farmed until 1960 when he retired and moved into Perham where they have lived since.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Gladys, of Perham and three children, Verlyn of Springfield, Massachusetts and Eileen (Mrs. James Smith) and Janice (Mrs. Jerome Berns), both of Perham; also five grandchildren and one sister Minda (Mrs. Joe Redmond) of Hunter, N. Dak., and one brother Bernoff of Pelican Rapids.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one son Merlyn in 1955 and one brother Morgan and one sister, Mrs. George Svare.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19, 1967 at 2:00 p.m. from the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. Cecil Johnson, Pastor.

Interment will be in the Trinity Cemetery.
