Mrs. Eliva Johnson, widow of Borre M. Johnson passed away Friday night at eight o'clock at the local hospital. She was nearly 75 years old and had been cared for at the Tillie Thompson health home for the past year. Previous to that she lived on a farm in Maplewood for several years.

Surviving are four sons and two daughters; Edwin of Dent, Morgan of this village, Bennie of Fergus Falls, Bernoff on a farm southwest of town, Mrs. George Svare of Vergas and Mrs. Joe Redmand of Hunter, N. Dak. Surviving also is a brother, Syver Sorenson of this village, and three sisters; Mrs. Perelius Pederson of Blackduck, Mrs. C.J. Johnson of Jamestown, N. Dak; and Mrs. Christ Togstad of rural Detroit Lakes.

The funeral services will be held this afternoon, Thursday and burial will be beside her husband in the old Pelican Valley Cemetery, northwest of town.

*DOB changed to Feb 9, 1877 as all census and baptismal records plus age on marriage license indicate her being born on that date. DC reads 1875.
