Daughter of Joseph Alberto Bateman and Ada Elizabeth Gunn


Obituary. Bertha B. Heath passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, at St. Marks Hospital.


She was born on August 18, 1921, in Elsinore Utah. She was the daughter of Joseph A. Bateman and Ada E. Bateman. She attended South High and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.


Bertha married William F. Heath, on July 21, 1941. "Bertie and Bill" enjoyed life and each other; they traveled and shared many experiences together. Bertie worked as a carhop at Fred and Kelly's and during World War II, worked in an arms plant assembling bullets. Later she worked with her husband Bill managing the Heathcliff Motel & Trailer Park. She was also a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary.


Bertie was a fun-loving person, who loved to laugh and was always the life of the party. She will be deeply missed and long remembered by everyone who knew and loved her.


She is survived by her children; Sandra Wyatt Fazzi, Las Vegas NV; John and Brooke Heath, Park City UT; daughter-in-law Mary Ann Heath Keller, St. George UT. Also survived by nine grandchildren; Joey Gregg, Melissa Heath Fisher, Heather Wyatt, Amy Heath, Holly Heath Iverson, Billy Heath, Max Heath, Roman Heath and Monet Heath; one great-grand daughter Karissa Owen; brother Fred Bateman; and sister Bernice Dillree. Preceded in death by her parents; husband William F. Heath; son W. Frank Heath Jr.; brothers Max and Bryce Bateman; sister Virginia Wilson.


The family wishes to thank the management and staff of Park Lane and Highland Care Center.


Funeral services will be on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at 12 noon, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where family and friends may visit from 10 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
