Bonnie Howell Haynes, 82, passed away after a lengthy illness at Dove House Hospice, Westminster, Maryland, Saturday, April 10. She was a native of Haywood County and was born on November 19, 1927 to the late Jerry Alden and Isabelle Lominac Howell. She and her husband moved to Walterboro, South Carolina in 1973 where they lived for 26 years before moving to Sykesville, Maryland to live with their son. She worked as a bookkeeper for Wellco, Haywood County Hospital, Barber's Orchards, and Dayco Walterboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James H. Haynes, six brothers, Harry Howell, Fred Howell, Locke Howell, Tom Howell, Ted Howell, and Roy Howell, and four sisters, Pearl Jaynes, Phyllis Smith, Carrie Lou Fravel, and Ruth Stevenson.
