Services: 11 a.m. Jan. 16 in New Life Baptist Church, Brooklyn, Ind. Calling: 3 to 8 p.m. Jan. 15 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville, and from 10 a.m. Jan. 16 in the church. Burial: Mooresville Cemetery.
Survivors: wife Carmel Lee Davis Butler; children Sharline L. Mayo, John T. Butler Jr.; stepchildren Laroy , Tony, Rodger , Charles Rush, Sue Dague; brothers George Eagle, Joe Fred , Isaac Edd , James Ted, Jack Ned Butler; sisters Dixie Bell Carter, Alice Odell Frances , Nancy Lavell Turner; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
