With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jack Ned Butler (Jacksonville, Florida), born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on June 28, 2021 at the age of 87.
Jackie was an avid Wildcat fan as he played football for the University of Kentucky defensive tackle #73 .
He spent many years in contracting work with his company, Jack Butler Construction. Prior to that he was a claims adjuster. His passion was gardening, he adored his family and he loved babies.
He received and gave so much joy spending time with them. Jackie was light hearted and always had the ability to see the humor in most any situation.
He was predeceased by : his son Mark Kelley Butler; and his siblings, Trixie Nell Lamont, Alice Odell Francis, Dixie Bell Carter, John Tom Butler, Joe Fred Butler, George Eagle Butler, James Ted Butler and William Med Butler.
He is survived by : his wife Connie; his children, Mike (Nancy) and Christie Stermon (Kent); his grandchildren, Mark Butler (Ashley), Adam Butler (Allison) and Abbie Stermon; his great grandchildren, Elliott, Finn, Grant and Sadie Jo; and his siblings, Nancy LaVell Turner (David) and Isaac Edd Butler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 6th 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oaklawn Cemetery (4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207).
