Arden J. Sampson, 70, died Feb. 5 in Ontario, Canada, where he and his wife were serving an LDS mission, of a heart attack. He was born March 29, 1914 in Fremont, Utah. He and Carol Bradshaw were married in the St. George LDS Temple Jan. 28, 1939.
Sampson was a manager of American Railway Express in Las Vegas for many years. Though he was a Utah native, he spent most of his life in Las Vegas.
A lifetime member of the LDS church, he served as a Bishop, as a counselor in a stake presidency, a patriarch, and was a temple worker before his mission call to Canada.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, six daughters, five brothers, four sisters, and 48 grandchildren.
