Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Merna Sampson Woodall, was released from her earthly calling on October 1, 2010.

Merna was born July 13, 1930, in Delta, Utah. She was the youngest of the eleven children of Alonzo and Mary Alice Allred Sampson.

She married Clifford Thomas Woodall in the Manti Temple on January 24, 1952.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission with her husband in the Cleveland, Ohio Mission from 1992 to 1994. She was a survivor of breast cancer and is a recent victim of Alzheimer's Disease.

Merna is survived by her husband, Clifford; sons: Brent (VickieLynn), Cedar City; Eldon (Karol Lyn), Pima, AZ; Douglas (Gaylene), Sandy; Jeffery (Lynne), West Jordan; daughters: Myra, Kearns; Andrea (Dale) Carrington, Taylorsville; Janet Nicoll, Kearns; twenty-one grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by sons, Daniel, Dennis; one great-grandson; seven brothers; three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Kearns Stake Center, 4260 West 5215 South. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and Wednesday at the Church from 9:00-9:45 a.m.
Interment: West Jordan City Cemetery.
