Thelma Surdam
Thelma B. Surdam of Eugene died April 4 of age-related causes. She was 96. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
She was born Sept. 1, 1913, in Saskatchewan, Canada, to Lars and Inga Johnson Borreson.
She married George Surdam on March 11, 1937, in Martinez, Calif. He died April 11, 1993.
She graduated from high school in Velva, N.D. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley of Eugene and David of Cedar Falls, Iowa; a daughter, Martha Surdam of Milwaukie; and one grandchild.
Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
