Walter W. Pyles, 56, one of the best known farmers of the upper section of Montgomery county, died Thursday night at his home near Beallsville following a prolonged illness. Mr. Pyles was a son of the late M. Thomas Pyles and was a lifelong resident of the Beallsville neighborhood.
He is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Emma Williams of Poolesville, and two children, Helen and Thomas Pyles. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Elijah W. White of Poolesville and Mrs. John A. Jones of Dickerson, and two brothers, former Sheriff Joseph B. Pyles of near Beallsville, and Dr. Charles Pyles of Hancock.
Funeral from the home at 10:30 o'clock Sunday morning, burial in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
