Mrs. Helen Pyles Darby, 82, of Aspen Woods Retirement Center, Silver Spring, formerly of Boyds, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, at her residence. She was the wife of the late John Riggs Darby.
Born June 18, 1913, in Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Walter W. and Emma Williams Pyles.
Surviving are one niece, Ann Pyles Glass of Virginia; and one nephew, Thomas C. Pyles of Georgia. Mrs. Darby was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas W. Pyles.
Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 20100 Fisher Ave., Poolesville. Inurnment will be in Monocacy Cemetery in Beallsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Monocacy Cemetery, P.O. Box 387, Poolesville, Md. 20837. Arrangements are being made by the Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville.
