Barbara was the infant daughter of Floyd Harry Fliger and Mary Jane (Schlindwein) Fliger of Shawnee Kansas (suburban Kansas City). Her siblings were: Floyd David Fliger, Jane Marie Fliger, Thomas Edward Fliger (her twin brother). She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Jane Fliger. Sisters Kathleen Ann Fliger and Carolyn Beth Fliger were born after Barbara passed.
