Hubert Huffman, aged 89 years, and a well known citizen, died at his home at Nettle Hill, Friday evening, September 15, at 11:30 o'clock. His death was due to infirmities of advanced years. Mr. Huffman was born December 26, 1843 and had spent his entire life in this county, where he had engaged successfully in farming and stock raising. He had served one term as a member of the board of poor directors. On November 27, 1869 he was united in marriage with Miss Elizabeth Rhodes. Her death occurred in 1912. He is survived by three daughters, Miss Dora Huffman and Mrs. Mattie Long, at home, and Mrs. John M. (Hannah) Harris. of Jefferson, and two sons, Jesse Huffman of Nettle Hill, and Frank Huffman, of Washington, Pa. One son, John, is deceased. Eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.
