Jesse Huffman, 80, well known Jackson Township farmer and stockman, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday, April 23, 1956, at his home at Nettle Hill.
A son of Hubert and Elizabeth Rhodes Huffman, he was born July 12, 1875 and lived all his life on the farm where he died. He married Annie Kerns who survives with two sons and three daughters: Arthur Huffman of Belleview, Herbert Huffman of Washington, Pa., Mrs. Bessie Darling of Redlands, Calif., Mrs. Otis Cumberledge and Elizabeth, wife of Charles Pettit, both of Washington, Pa. One son died in infancy. He also leaves 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mattie Long of Waynesburg, and one brother, Frank Huffman, of Washington, Pa. One brother and two sisters are deceased.
