KENNETH LAVERNE ABBOTT SERVICES THURSDAY
Services will be held Thursday, April 27, 1950 at 2 p.m. at the Sellergren Funeral Home for Kenneth LaVerne Abbott, 18, who died this morning of rheumatic fever at his home here. He had been ill several years.
Dr. Guy J. Fansher will officiate. Serving on the floral committee will be Mrs. Clarence Berg and Mrs. Robert McBath.
Bearers will be Billie Rush, Lester Briggs, Walter Bailey, Freddie Roach, Louis Wilson and Lysle Templeton. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Born November 8, 1931 in Council Bluffs, he was the son of Adam Jesse and Bonnie Jones Abbott. He moved to Red Oak in 1946 and had spent his entire life in Mills and Montgomery Counties.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Bonnie Abbott; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hilding of Red Oak; grandmother, Mrs. Fanny Abbott of Nebraska City, Nebraska; five brothers, Douglas, Gerald, John, Joe, Danny; six sisters, Donetta, Bonnie, Dixie, Sharon, Carmen, and Marjorie.
