Robert Veanne Abbott, son of Adam Jesse Abbott and Tressa Lucille Sprague, was born February 9, 1914 in Nebraska City, Nebraska and died May 8, 1991, Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. He married Flossie Mae Eaton, daughter of Caleb Eaton and Betty Jane Morris on March 16, 1939 in Sidney, Iowa by Reynold O. Lundy, Presbyterian Minister. Witnesses were Herbert Rumley and Mrs. Reynolds O. Lundy..
He was preceded in death by parents and brothers, Jessie and Alvin and a sister Iva. He is survived by his wife, Flossie, sons, Roy L., Stratton, Boring, Oregon, William "Bill" Abbott, Milton, Freewater, Oregon; daughters, sons-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" and Eric Martin, Bisbee, Arizona, Shirley Durr and companion Neil Baars, Lincoln; numerous grandchrildren and great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
