She was born in Georgetown and attended West High School. She resided in the District of Columbia for 67 years until she moved to Sumner, Maryland in 1955. For more than 30 years she was the President of the Aged Woman's Home in Georgetown. She died at the age of 71 years of a heart attack at the home of her son in Sumner, Maryland on Friday, August 28, 1959. She was married to J. Louis Freeman. Survivors included her son, Robert L. Freeman of Sumner, Maryland and two grandsons. Arrangements were by Birch Funeral Home at 3034 M Street Northwest. Services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
