OBITUARY :
The funeral service will he held this afternoon at 2 o'clock for Miss Mary L. Witmer, who died unexpectedly at her Waynesboro home Wednesday night.

Miss Witmer, who was 62 years old, died of a cerebral hemorrhage, a half-hour after attending a meeting.

A native of Beaver Creek, she was the daughter of David E. and Ida (Burger) Witmer. Later, she lived at Cress Station, Mont Alto, and Hooverville, three small Pennsylvania towns, before moving to Waynesboro in 1946.

She had taught public school for 41 years, before retiring last June, in Mont Alto, Zullinger, and Waynesboro. She was a graduate of Shippensburg Normal School.

Surviving, besides her mother, are sisters, Estella B. Witmer, at home; and Mrs. Paul Curfman, Northumberland, Pa. Rev. Dr. B. Clinton Ritz and Rev. H. F. Coffelt will be in charge of the funeral at the Grove Funeral Home in Waynesboro, with interment in Burns Hill Cemetery.

Miss Witmer had requested that flowers should be omitted.
