Loretta June Thomas, 89, of New Bethlehem (Cottage Hill), died Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 4, 20121, at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville.
She was born on July 2, 1923, in Porter Township, Clarion County, and was the daughter of William John "Kelly" and Mary Catherine (Crissman) Kerr.
On April 21, 1942, she married Melvin Fay Thomas and he preceded her in death March 11, 2007.
June worked for Dolinda's in New Bethlehem.
She loved to bake and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
June is survived by a daughter, Lisa Truitt of Fairmount City; five sons, Terry Thomas and Mary S. Lowman of Clarion, Robert and Wilma Thomas of Warren, Ohio, David and Dianna Thomas of Hawthorn, Gary and Marcy Thomas of Winber, and Keith and Sandy Thomas of Mayport; and 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven sisters; Olive, Ella, Lura, Mary, Phoebe, Evelyn, and Beulah; and two brothers, Vernon and Quinton.
Interment in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
