DECATUR - Vena Vera Alexander, 90, Decatur, died Friday (July 26, 2002) in Sullivan Health Care Center.

Vena was born Feb. 20, 1912, in Gap Creek, Ky., the daughter of Millard F. and Betsy Catron Atkinson. She married Everett Alexander in 1932. He preceded her in death in 1975.
Surviving are her sons, James Alexander of Lovington; William Alexander of Indianapolis, Ind.; Robert Alexander of Decatur; five brothers; two sisters; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and three sisters.
