John Balz Dies After Illness of Several Months
John Balz, 70, died at his home at 12:30 o'clock Friday morning after a lingering illness. He was born April 27, 1870, in TownSchleswig on the farm now owned by his son, William. His parentswere Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Balz.
He married Louise Reichert of Town Schleswig on June 22, 1897,and the couple lived on the homestead until 10 years ago when they sold out to their son, William, and moved to the present address here.
Survivors are the widow; three daughters and one son.
Seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Carl Petzold of here,also survive.
