Mrs. John Boege, 74 nee Mary Balz, died at her home at Calumet and River Drive Monday evening at 8:30 o'clock, following an illness of nine weeks.
Born on a farm in the town of Schleswig, June 29, 1861, Mrs. Boege lived there for many years. Her marriage to John Boege of that township took place on October 11, 1883 and the couple operated several farms in the town of Schleswig. In 1916 they moved to their present home. Four children were born to them, one son, William, preceding his mother in death in 1920.
Survivors are her husband, 3 daughters, Mrs. Ludwig (Mary)
Duerrwaechter and Mrs. Arno (Ella) Keppler of this city; and Mrs. Fred (Anna) Duerrwaechter of New Holstein; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother, John Balz and a sister, Mrs. Carl Petzoldt of this city.
