Oren H. Stansell, 83, of Winchester, Kan., died March 18, 1994, at Winchester Hospital. He was born April 13, 1910, in Wharton, Ark., the son of Jessie and Nancy Bolinger Stansell. He attended the Wharton Arkansas Upper School. He and Oka Dotson were married on June 28, 1934, in Huntsville. They moved to Nortonville, Kan., in 1937, where he worked on the Corpstein Brothers Farm for 13 years. He then moved to the Winchester area, where he farmed and raised livestock until his retirement in 1986, at which time they sold their farm and moved into Winchester. He attended the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his widow, Oka Stansell of the home in Winchester; two daughters, Bobbie Dale Muzingo of Topeka, Kan., and Clarice Luttman of Winchester; three brothers, Cread Stansell of Hindsville, Leonard Stansell of Huntsville, and Dee Stansell of Valley Falls, Kan.; one sister, Gladys Vanhook of Springdale; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at the O'Trimble Funeral Home in Nortonville, Kan., with the Rev. Howard Elliot officiating. Burial was in the Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery at Winchester.
