Jesse Newton Stansell, 89, Hindsville, died Jan. 12 at Huntsville after a 5 year's illness. He was born Jan. 7, 1882 in Madison County, the son of John and Jemima Bolinger Stansell and was a retired farmer and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nancy Bolinger Stansell of the home; six sons, Lee and Cread of Hindsville, Loys of San Bernardino, Calif., Oran and Dee of Valley Falls, Kans., and Leonard Stansell of Huntsville; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Vanhook of Springdale; one brother, Asberry Stansell of Nortonville, Kans; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Boatright of Springdale and Mrs. Laura Jones of Huntsville; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, January 15, at 1 o'clock in the Free Will Baptist Church in Huntsville with Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Burial was in the Wharton Creek cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Roby Bolinger, Clell Jones, Douglas Stansell, Art Bolinger, Joe Bolinger and X Dotson.
