---Maudie E. Barnes, wife of Thomas Barnes of near La Plata, died at her home Tuesday, November 12, after a week's illness with influenza and pneumonia. Mrs. Barnes was twenty-five years, two months and twenty-eight days of age.
---She leaves to mourn her loss, a sorrowing husband and little daughter about five years old and a number of other relatives and friends.
---Funeral services were conducted at the Union cemetery near Gibbs, and the body was laid to rest at that place.
