Rites Held July 8 for Mrs. Cook, 102

Mrs. Armintie Spiceland Cook, 102, died Sunday, July 7, at 5:00 am at Shady Lawn Nursing Home, where she had been a patied since August 1967. Mrs. Cook was Trigg County's oldest citizen.

A native of Stewart County, Tennessee, Mrs. Cook was born January 4, 1872, the daughter of the late Jasper and Emily Mannon Spiceland. She was married to John Cook, who preceded her in death December 2, 1936. She was a member of Wallonia Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at Goodwin Funeral Home Monday, July 8, at 2 pm with the Rev. Clark Boyd and Rev. Irvin Darnell officiating. Music services were by Wallonia Baptist Church with Miss Peggy Keller, pianist. Burial was in Atkins Cemetery in Trigg County.

Survivors include two sons, Forest Cook, Murray, and Leland Cook, Princeton; one daughter, Mrs. Noble Allen, Trigg County; 24 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.
