She was born on Oct. 24, 1917 in Luray and was a daughter of the late Raymond Theodore and May Estelle Moyer.
On Dec. 23, 1936, she married Roy Erskine Griffith, who died on Nov. 21, 1973.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne Arthur Griffith of Luray, and Roy Lynwood 'Woody' Griffith; a daughter Jean Waters of Winchester; three half brothers, Kenneth R. Moyer of Winchester, James A. Moyer of Luray and Carroll E. Moyer of Shenandoah; a half sister, Anna Lou Moyer of Luray; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Douglas and Nelson R. Moyer; four half sisters, Dorothy Pearl Purdham, Betty J. Lawson, Shirley F. Long and Kathleen V. Graves and a granddaughter.
Burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
