Grandaughter of Austin Beasley, Jr. (of Duplin County, North Carolina and later Dale County, Alabama) and Eleanor Reed Powell. Great-granddaughter of Pvt. Austin Beasley, Sr. (a Revolutionary War Soldier & large land owner), and Polly Mary Hollingsworth Carroll Beasley.
