Chester was born at the east end of Soledad Canyon, Territory of NM south of the Organ Mountains in the Rucker House delivered by his sister Sarah in 1902 when the midwife was late for delivery, 10 years before statehood.

Chester Beasley
Chester Arthur (Buck) Beasley, 92, of Chino Valley, died Feb. 1, 1994, at the Yavapai Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 30, 1902, at Organ, New Mexico Territory to George Russell and Sarah Virginia (Briley) Beasley. He moved from New Mexico to Douglas (Ariz.) in 1948, and to Chino in 1972. He was a retired cattleman and farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Una May, of Chino Valley; one son and daughter-in-law, Chester Garner and Ma Donna Beasley, of Chino Valley; one daughter and son-in-law, Virgina May and Robert Shull, of Covina, Calif.; one sister, Ivy Clay, of Chino Valley; a daughter-in-law of Chino Valley, widow of Arthur Beasley, a deceased son; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Chapel.
Burial will follow at Chino Valley Cemetery. Pastor Bill Brasham will officiate.
