Last rites for Gaines H. Price were set Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.D. Watson of East Paris Baptist Church officiating.
Burial was arranged in Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers were his nephews; Willie Price, Lawrence Price, Gaines Price, James Price, Dick Price, and Morris DeWeese.
Son of Joseph Miller Price and Mary Henerietta Biard Price, he was born in the Glory community, south of Paris on 24 Nov. 1872.
He was a merchant for many years at Glory before moving to Paris in 1932.
He retired about 2 years ago because of ill health.
He leaves a son, Gaines M. Price of Odessa; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth "Lizzie" Price-Jones of Amarillo, and two brothers, William Samuel Price and Joseph Oscar Price of Paris
