Mrs. Elizabeth Service
Mrs. Elizabeth Service, 94, longtime resident of Ottawa, died last night at 10:30 pm at Cedar House nursing home, where she had lived. Born November 12, 1859 in Washington County, Iowa, she had lived in Ottawa and the vicinity since her marriage in 1885. Her husband, John C. Service, died in 1914. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors are two brothers, Joe Melvin and Charles Melvin both of Salina, Kansas and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Lamb Funeral Home on Friday at 2 pm with interment in the Hope Cemetery.
