Rev. J. G. Melvin, well-known throughout the county, passed from this life at
his home in Quenemo last week at the advanced age of 84 years. He is sur-
vived by a family of grown children, one of which is Mrs. Columbs Smith of
Melvern. The deceased was a conscientious, tireless and energetic worker
and devoted his life's energies to expounding the virtues of Christianity. He
had many staunch and admiring friends throughout the county.
