Services for Marvin Downey, 76, were held at Hawley Church of Christ officiated by Keith Justice, minister at Logan, Utah, and Glenn Dodd, minister of Hawley. Marvin Downey moved to Young County with his family at a young age settling near the Jean Community. He was a member of the Hawley Church of Christ, Anson Masonic Lodge No. 575, a charter member of the Hawley Lions Club.
Survived by his wife; one son - Mervin Leon Downey; one daughter - Nancilee Katherine Downey Kaatz, two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters.
