Mrs. Laura W. Westbrook, 83, widow of Frank (Francis)Westbrook, former resident of the Hanover vicinity, died Tuesday at 9:12 p.m. in the home of her son, Frank Westbrook near Black Run. She had been in failing health several months and seriously ill a week.
She was born in Lebanon, July 10, 1862, the daughter of Mrs. & Mrs. John Armstrong. Her husband died a number of years ago and surviving are two sons, Frank of near Black Run, Guy of Newark, three daughters, Mrs. Oren Foster of Granville Road, Mrs. Altha Dresback of Columbus, Mrs. Merrill Wills of Route 1, Newark; also 31 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Five daughters are deceased.
The deceased was a member of Burrells Church of God at Rocky Fork.
Funeral services will be held in the Rocky Fork Church of Christ Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. Emmett McKnight will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery. Funeral directors, D.B. Baughman & Sons.
