Mrs. Boyers was born Jan. 31, 1919, in Harrisonburg, and was a daughter of the late Harry and Maude Edmondson Higgins.
She was employed at Metro Pants in Harrisonburg and was a member of Divine Love Fellowship Church.
Her husband, George W. Boyers, preceded her in death in February 1975. (Her son, Richard Lee Boyers, also preceded her in death Dec. 19, 1997.)
She is survived by a sister, Thelma Coleman, and a brother, Melvin "Mike" Higgins, both of Harrisonburg; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pastors Ted Hott and Melvin McCauley will conduct the funeral 3 p.m. Saturday at the McMullen Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 this evening at the funeral home.
