Son of James Cicero Licurgus and Matilda Catherine (nee Beverly) Bennett; husband of "Lila" Hargraves; father of 12 children, one whose names is not known. The known children were Minnie, William "Hardy", Ada (Morgan), Appie (Morgan), Lillie (Bennett), Paul Labon, Joseph Floyd, James Harmon, Maria "Macy" V.(James), Clyde Rexford, and Roy Sylvester.

Joe O. Bennett, 51, farmer of Millwood section k died Monday at his home, and last rites were held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at Millwood, interment being at the Millwood cemetery. The Rev. Mr. Bell officiated.

The deceased is survived by his widow, five sons, Hardy, Paul, Floyd, Harmon and Roy Bennett, and three daughters, Mrs. Archie Morgan of Millwood, Mrs. Jesper Bennett of Millwood, and Mrs. Oscar Morgan of Millwood, also five brothers, William Bennett of Kirkland, W.L. Bennett of Kirkland, T. M. Bennett of Millwood, Lewis Bennett of Waycross, and Cicero Bennett of Millwood, and three sisters, Mrs. Jim Herrin of Millwood, Mrs. Mary Simms of Millwood, and Mrs. Cleve Murray of Millwood.

R.C. Ulmer and Company was in charge of arrangements.
