He was born on Jan. 16, 1929, in York, Ala., to George and Pearl Harmon. He married Ruth Moore in April 1948 in Bloomington. She preceded him in death in 1993.
He was employed as a factory inspector, retiring in 1975.
He leaves to survive six sons, Albert (Linda) Hendon, Johnny (Wynetta) Hendon, Dennis Hendon, Curtis Moore, and Lynn Moore, all of Peoria, and Terry (Jennie) Williams of Bloomington; and five daughters, Maxine Parker, Florine (Leonard) Bell, Denise (Sylvester) Hunter, Kathy (William) Malone and Louise Irby, all of Peoria.
In addition to his wife, three sons and one grandchild also preceded him in death.
Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery.
