Houston Owens, 69, of Peoria departed this life Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at his residence. He was born on January 23, 1953, in Peoria to A.Z. Hendon and Louella Kilpatrick.

Houston took classes at ICC for Horticulture. He was a huge lover of plants. He played baseball within the community of Peoria. Houston was a very outgoing person who loved to see people laugh and smile, especially his grandchildren.

Houston leaves to cherish his precious memory: his loving wife: Robyn Owens; one son: Jacoby Owens of Peoria; five daughters: DaRhanda (Archie) Words of Phoenix of Peoria, Sharria (Kenon) Foster, Alecia Owens, Bianca Owens, and Tatyana Owens all of Peoria; two brothers: Albert (Linda) Hendon and Johnnie Hendon both of Peoria; five sisters: Maxcine Hendon, Kathryn Malone, Trenia Henderson-Mackey, Delores Henderson, Mamie Henderson, and Arminger Carroll all of Peoria.

Houston was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter; Sisely Cagle; five brothers: Dennis Hendon, Everette Hendon, Robert Hendon, Raymond Hendon and Ernest Carroll; one sister: Leola Henderson; and one grandchild; Demetrius Fernando

Houston will be laid to rest at The Historic Springdale Cemetery.
