Death Takes Mrs. Charles Kirkland; Funeral Sunday Mrs. Rebecca Jane Kirkland, widow of the late Charles Kirkland and a resident of Atkinson for 41 years, died at 1:45 this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Chace, in this city. She was past 85 years of age and had been ill about two weeks.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church in Atkinson Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
Mrs. Kirkland is survived by six sons, Charles W., of Atkinson; Edwin R., Ottumwa, Ia.; Louis and Emery, of Atkinson; Benson, Chicago; and Harold, of Waterloo, Ia., and one daughter, Margaret A. Chace, Atkinson. There are 29 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
