Clara A. Yehle, 95, formerly of Elkhart Lake, died Wednesday morning, June 19, 2002 at Valley Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth, where she resided the past three years.
She is the former Clara Roehrdanz, born Feb. 14, 1907 in Kiel, daughter of the late Fred and Mary Pingel Roehrdanz.
Clara as a 1923 graduate of Kiel High School.
On Sept. 21, 1929, Clara married Eldred P. Voland in Kiel. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1945. On Sept. 19, 1949, she married Joseph H. Yehle. Joseph preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1981.
Clara worked for the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah School for 16 years until her retirement.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Elkhart Lake and enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include two children, Nancy (Frank) Thielmann of Elkhart Lake and Eugene (Mildred) Yehle of Midland, MI; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one infant son and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2002 at Grace Lutheran Church, Elkhart Lake, with the Rev. Matthew J. Graminske officiating. Burial will take place in the Kiel City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the CHURCH on Saturday, June 22 from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
A memorial has been established for Bethesda Lutheran Home, Watertown.
