ALMA BURG

An automobile accident took the life of a Calumet County Woman last week when she was backing out of a driveway in Quinney on Highway 55. She is Mrs. Alma Burg, Route 1, Chilton. She was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Appleton.

Mrs. Burg was born May 22, 1902, a daughter of Frederick and Mary Pingel Rohrdanz. She married Garland Burg June 24, 1925. The couple farmed in the town of Calumet (Fond du Lac County) for many years. She was also a school teacher at rural schools in the Fond du Lac and Racine areas. Mr. Burg died in 1951. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Malone, and of the Senior Citizens Club of Chilton.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy Schwobe, route 1, Chilton, and Mrs. David Mortimer, Chilton, 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph F. Schneider, Route 2, Kiel, and Mrs. Joseph Yehle, Elkhart Lake.

Funeral services were held Monday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Malone, with the Reverend Jeffrey Nichols, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Kiel Cemetery.
