Mrs. Anna Blanche Parson, 71, of Graysville, R.D.1, died at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 1969, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Although she had not been in the best of health for some time, her death was unexpected. She was born Sept. 27, 1898, in Aleppo Township, the daughter of John and Nora Poland Cumpston.

She was married March 30, 1917 to Charles Parsons, Sr., who survives. Mrs. Parson had resided most of her life in Richhill Twp., where she was an elder in the United Bristoria Presbyterian Church and the chaplain of Aleppo Grange 3054.

Surviving are five sons: Charles Jr. and James, both of Wind Ridge; John, of Hundred, W.Va.; Frank of Imperial, R.D.1; and William, of Trafford; six daughters: Mrs. James (Nora) Caldwell, of Ninevah, R.D.1; Mrs. Doris Engle of Waynesburg; Mrs. Floyd (Helen) Riley of Elkins, W.Va.; Mrs. Paul (Aldean) Tharp of Cambridge, Ohio; Mrs. Faye Gillespie of Wind Ridge; and Mrs. Max (Nell) Jones of Warren, Ohio; 33 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers; Glen Cumpston of Burton, W.Va.; and William and Frank Cumpston, both of Cameron, W.Va; three sisters: Mrs. Fern Taylor of Wheeling, W.Va.; Mrs. Nell Gettings of Moundsville, W.Va; and Mrs. Mayme Leichter, of Youngstown, Ohio. Two grandchildren and one brother, Henry, are deceased.
