Mrs. Cumpston, a daughter of William and Louisa Nuss Poland, was born June 1, 1877, in Western Greene County and was a member of the Sugar Grove Union Church.
Surviving are three sons, William H. Cumpston, of Cameron RD 4, Frank Cumpston, of Cameron RD 3, and Glenn Cumpston, of Burton, W. Va.; four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Blanche) Parsons, of Bristoria, Mrs. Nellie Gittings, of Moundsville, Mrs. Fern Taylor, of Wheeling, W. Va., and Mrs. Mayme Leichter, of Youngstown, Ohio; 33 grandchildren; 72 great-grand children; six great-great-grand-children, and one brother, Herbert Poland of Holbrook. A son, Harry, is deceased.
