Guy Dell Watts, age 80, went to be with his Lord Thursday, December 10, 2009. He was born August 28, 1929 in Bear Creek, Arkansas to the late Ruffus and Elizabeth Watts. Guy was a member of the Sage Baptist Church and was a caring and loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Watts of Zion, Arkansas; two sons, David and his wife Karen Watts of Zion, Arkansas and Scott Watts of Zion, Arkansas; one daughter Cindy and her husband Winston Townsend of Brockwell, Arkansas; one brother, Bill Watts of Batesville, Arkansas; five sisters, Runell and her husband Hershel Preston of Lunenberg, Arkansas, Marcell Azamber of Fresno, California, Carol and her husband Richard Kinsey of Chester, California, Vel Foth of Medera, California and Evelyn Bates of Modesto, California; four grandchildren, David and Derek Watts of Zion, Arkansas and Matthew and Casey Townsend of Brockwell, Arkansas. As well as many more friends and family.
Guy is preceded in death by two brothers, John and Ulis Watts and one sister, Delta Laymon.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made in Guy's name to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718
Boyce Johnson will be officiating. The pallbearers will be his two sons David and Scott Watts, his son in law Winston Townsend and his three grandsons Matthew Townsend and David and Derek Watts. The honorary pallbearers include the rest of Guy's family and all of his friends.
Interment will be at the Caney Springs Cemetery in Sage, Arkansas
