Phillips P. Shough, mayor of Hundred, W. Va. for many years, died in his home there at 3 a.m. Wednesday, April 1. He was 79.
A retired restaurant owner, Mr. Shough was very active in community affairs. He was a member of the Hundred Methodist Church.
A son of the late George W. and Jane Gidley Shough, he was born March 4, 1874 in Greene County.
Surviving are his wife, Winona Hennen Shough of Hundred; four daughters, Mrs. Lydia Slaughter of Kissimmee, Fla., Mrs. Ruth Billingslea of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Edna Davis of Pullman, W. Va., and Mrs. Lottie McShassey of Akron, Ohio; three brothers, Lot B. Shough of Woodruff, W. Va., and Charles and Howard Shough, both of Garrison, and one brother, Charles Garrison, of Waynesbur
