Howard H. Shough, 86, of Garrison, R. D. 1, died at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 1963, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital, after a long illness.

Mr. Shough was born September 13, 1877, in Gilmore Township, a son of George W. and Martha Gidley Shough.

All of his life had been spent in the New Freeport and Jollytown area except for six years which were spent in Waynesburg. He was well known as a stock raiser and farmer.

He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Jennie Delaney Shough, whom he married February 20, 1905; two daughters, Mary, wife of George Lampbert, of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Mildred, wife of Clifford Elliman, of Hudson, Ohio, and one son, George L., of Belleville, Mich.

Also surviving are six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one brother, Lott, of Aleppo.

Two sisters and four brothers are deceased.
